Lead, Commercial Excellence
About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial Excellence & Pricing Governance, you are responsible for supporting the delivery of a world-class commercial organization by identifying, developing and implementing best-in-class sales & marketing management process and tools.
This role is based in Singapore.
Key Accountabilities:
Benchmarking and Gap Assessment
- Regularly benchmark commercial performance of the organization internally and externally vs. industry
- Conduct gap assessment and identify opportunities to drive effectiveness in all aspects of commercial activities
Develop and drive commercial excellence initiatives
- Lead and be the champion for the organization in developing, designing and implementing key initiatives in areas like but not limited to
- Pricing Excellence
- Cost and Margin Analysis
- Customer Management
- Customer Segmentation
- Commercial Offerings
- Value Proposition
- Sales Force Effectiveness
- Channel Management
- Performance Management
- Competency Excellence
- IT tools
- Utilize project management discipline to execute the key initiatives and deliver the milestones timely
- Communicate effectively and provide training support to the organization to ensure full understanding of the new processes and tools.
- Conduct regular feedback session/survey from the organization on the effectiveness of the new initiatives as part of the steps in i5 project management.
Performance Management
- Deploy and drive governance around the implemented initiatives
- Develop and monitor KPI dashboard for regular review
- Analyze gaps of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions
Cross Functional Team Leadership
- Conduct regular review and discussion to the senior leadership team on key initiatives progress and achievements, internal benchmark performance among regions
- Communicate regularly to regional sales management leadership on regional performance, identify gaps and recommend solutions to achieve the best-in-class performance
Project Management
- Maintain the standard project management framework and act as network champion leader to provide guidance and support to the organization in implementing projects using i5 methodology.
- Manage project portfolio tracking to support and optimize project resources based on priority list.
About You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Economics / Engineering
- MBA will be an advantage
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant working experience in petrochemical or similar or related industry
- Thorough understanding of customers and value chain segments
- Thorough knowledge of marketing & sales management techniques and tools
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong analytical skill – with attention to details combined with the ability to see big picture
- Self-initiative and ability to propose pragmatic new ideas / approaches
- Advanced proficiency in power point
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – ability to communicate effectively with senior management, colleagues and internal/external customers.
- Ability to manage key stakeholders in a large, complex and evolving organization and achieve alignment
- Strong team player to build key stakeholder relationships, developing a continuous improvement culture and facilitating best practice sharing.
- Ability to multi-task, react at short notice to internal and/or external customer needs and deliver against tight deadlines
- Cultural sensitivity to regions specific local practices
